'Tis the Season to Get Married

Lately it seems like everyone and their sister is getting engaged to be married. At first it was a thought that bothered for I am a single gal, but I then realized it's actually pretty awesome that I'm getting invited to all of these wedding festivities!!!

In hopes of making my times more enjoyable and not making myself suffer the single girl blues, I've come up with a list of PRO's for my future wedding festivities!

  1. I get to buy new dresses, shoes and accessories for the different occasions!
  2. I'm the single girl! So all the single guys can come my way!!
  3. Open bar and amazing food
  4. Fun times with my friends
  5. Did I mention single guys??
  6. Amazing decorations and ideas for the future!!
Here are some pictures of fun ideas of things to have at a wedding!
My favorite part!!!

Yes, that is the cake topper!

and yes, that's a QR code.

As a cute added bonus for my enjoyment, I decided to make scrap book with all of my wedding invites! I'll share pictures when I have it all together!! Here's a small preview at some of the cute invites I have gotten so far!

What's in my purse?

I've always loved reading US Weekly and especially love reading it when they have the segments on what celebrities carry in their hand bags!
Now I know I am not celebrity status just yet, but I thought it would be a fun post to do!

Here are the goods....
LV

My awesome new wallet

My "Technology Pouch"- cell phone stuff, etc

Check books, koozies, etc

Flashlight, charger, and another pouch

Keys, brush, camera (you never know when you will need it)

This little connected pouch holds my womanly products ;)

Random stuff in my purses side pocket;  ipod, pens chapstick, etc...

And lastly, this awesome book!!! (I know, I know. I'm obsessed)

Obviously I have tons of stuff in my purse, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

What do you carry in your purse?

The Fab 5

Who else watched the Olympics this summer?? Just like my obsession with handbags, it's well known amongst my friends that I'm obsessed with gymnastics.  My love for gymnastics started shortly before the 1996 Olympics and flourished upon the 1996 women's gymnastic team winning its first team gold in Olympic history! I tried do gymnastics at a local gym academy down the road, but with the lack of good coaches and the intense nature of the sport I decided that watching gymnastics I would be partaking in.

The past few Olympics we have seen the teams grow and this year was looking to be the best team we have seen since the 1996 Olympics. The Fab Five or the Fierce Five, whichever you prefer is one of the best US women gymnastics team in Olympic history and they are all the cutest things ever! I just want to friends with all of them!!

Neiman Marcus for Target Review

Just like the Missoni for Target sale last fall, I was first in line at Target at 7:30 am this past Saturday. Nothing makes me more happy than having designer lines at affordable prices! Before going I decided I needed to have an idea of what I was going to purchase just in case it was crazy with all of the other shoppers. My beloved shopping partner Carrie joined me and we made the most of having two people there.

When the doors opened I ran right for the Tory Burch lunch box and water bottle. I am a major lover of Tory Burch so I knew these items were coming with me regardless. Then I went about the rest of the items for the things I wanted. Much to my happiness, this year the store was COMPLETELY stocked! Along with the Tory Burch goods, I picked up the Carolina Herrera travels bags and the Rag and Bone sweater.

While I was a little disappointed that Tory Burch didn't have anything other products, I was happy with my items. They were the cheapest items in the whole collection and just too cute to pass up. The Carolina Herrera bags were such a surprise to me. I honestly thought they were super ugly and cheap looking online, but upon seeing them in the store my mind was completely changed! Not only were they great sizes, but the insides of the bags were completely lined and padded. Perfect for keeping stuff organized in your purse, or even using the biggest one as a computer case!

Lastly I loved, loved, loved, the Rag and Bone sweater, but I couldn't take the plunge on it. Maybe later this week after pay day at work? (haha!)

I saw plenty of other things I wanted, unfortunately I don't have my open space to put those things right now. So I knew that it wasn't the right time for me to make those purchases! (Shocking, I know)

Any who, I was really pleased with my items and I'm so pumped to be using them today!!!

Did any of you get anything at the Neiman Marcus for Target sale?

Here are my beautiful items!!!

Neiman Marcus for Target

In all the hustle and bustle the past few weeks, I totally FORGOT that tomorrow starts the launch of Neiman Marcus for Target. Similar to last years Missoni for Target sale, this launch will include an array of designers. Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, DVF, Carolina Herrera, Brian Atwood, and so many more. Each designer has contributed one to three pieces for their line. Needless to say I will be at Target tomorrow morning bright and early to snag myself a Tory Burch lunch box!!

Are you headed to Target early in the am???

Before you go, head on over to Cotton's Pickins for a great Lucy and Me Jewelry EXCLUSIVE necklace giveaway!!!

DIY Part 3

Last but not least I headed to the Dollar Tree yesterday after stumbling upon a super easy and fun Pinterest project!! It's called the Dollar Tree Makeup Storage Tray!

The supplies! Everything can be purchased at the Dollar Tree with the exception of the E-600 glue.

First you need to glue to candle stick to the bottom of the tray!

Then glue the next try on the top of the candle stick!

Then add of the next candle stick just like the bottom tray!

Let it dry and set before putting all your goodies on!

All my finished DIY's!!
Didn't they all turn out awesome?! I'm so excited and can't wait to use everything!!

What DIY's have you done lately??

DIY Part 2

Next up in this mini DIY series is the cheese grater earring stand! I thought this would be a great project to do because I could use the stands for up and coming jewelry shows! Here are the steps!

Cheese graters, primer, and any color spray paint!

spray the cheese grater with primer

let it dry!

once dry spray paint it with your color of choice!

viola!!

A great finished product!!!
In order to minimize the mess, I put down some paper on the table so I would not ruin anything! As well, I held a small canvas behind the grater when spray painting!

To finish up my weekend I made one more DIY and I'll post it next!!! Enjoy!

xoxo,
